The following are diocesan volunteer opportunities.
Deaf Ministry Assistance
The Deaf Ministry Program is currently seeking an individual from the diocese who possesses court-reporting or CART skills, and might be willing to donate their services once a month. The ministry would like to make the Deaf Community Mass, which is held at St. Francis of Assisi Parish in Grapevine the first Sunday of each month, accessible to the hard-of-hearing community by offering real-time captioning as part of the liturgy. Anyone possessing such skills and interested in sharing them with the community is requested to contact Mary Cinatl.
Interpreters for the Deaf Needed
Qualified interpreters are needed to help with both religious education classes and interpreted Masses at several parishes.
