Executive Assistant to the Vice Chancellor of Administrative Services/Director of Finance

Diocese of Fort Worth, Catholic Center

The Diocese of Fort Worth seeks a full-time Executive Assistant for the Vice Chancellor of Administrative Services/Director of Finance. This position is based at the Catholic Center in Fort Worth. Main duties include providing clerical and administrative services to the Vice Chancellor/Director of Finance and his staff. In addition to general office operational duties, this person will also track property insurance claims, process contracts and process appreciated stock and mutual fund donations. This person will prepare for and take the minutes for various meetings, including the Board of Directors of the Advancement Foundation, the Diocesan Finance Council and various other committees.

The ideal candidate is a Roman Catholic, in good standing, actively participating in a parish. Three years of prior administrative support experience required, preferably in a Finance department. Bilingual English/Spanish preferred. Ability to type verbally dictated letters is highly desirable. Must be experienced in taking minutes and in meeting preparation. Knowledge of various computer programs including Microsoft Word, Excel, Publisher, PowerPoint, Visio, QuickBooks is preferred. Additional skills needed to be successful at this position include professional communication skills, both verbal and written; ability to maintain the highest degree of confidentiality and professional discretion; exceptional accuracy/attention to detail and a high level of organization.

Superintendent of Schools

Diocese of Fort Worth, Catholic Center

The Diocese of Fort Worth, Texas is seeking a visionary, faith-filled leader to serve as Superintendent of Schools. This position reports to Bishop Michael F. Olson and requires a strategic thinker to share and fulfill his vision for growing and opening schools.

The successful candidate will display intellect, curiosity, creativity and a passion for the evangelization and education of young people. He/she will be proactive, relationship oriented, supportive of the Church’s teaching and able to work collaboratively with pastors, school presidents and principals, the Advisory Council and the Diocesan staff, overseeing 18 urban and suburban schools with 6,000 students. Applicants should possess an understanding of contemporary communication tools and strategies to facilitate collaboration and marketing.

The Superintendent will develop and implement a strategic plan ensuring the faith formation and academic accomplishment of students while addressing challenges in enrollment, accessibility, affordability and funding. The ideal candidate will have experience in a growth-oriented Diocese with various models of educational leadership in multi-cultural schools.

An applicant must be a practicing Catholic who embraces the teachings of the Catholic Church, and possess a master’s degree in educational leadership or related field and 7-10 years in Catholic school leadership. A doctoral degree is strongly preferred, as is teaching background and experience at the Diocesan level. Salary is competitive and commensurate with experience. Co-coordinator of Youth Ministry

St. Catherine of Siena Church, Carrollton

St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church in Carrollton, Texas, is looking for a dynamic, energetic, organized and creative individual to be co-coordinator of Youth Ministry in a well-established, active program for 6th-12th grade. We are looking for someone who is a team player, is educated and knowledgeable in the Catholic Faith, who also practices it, and is able to creatively share that knowledge and experience in a way that engages our youth and the adults who assist in our Faith Formation program. Senior Director of Development and Alumni Relations

The University of Dallas

Together with the Executive Vice President (EVP), the Senior Director of Development and Alumni Relations is responsible for the creation of plans, implementation of strategies, and supervision of fundraising and alumni relations programs of the University. The Senior Director leads a staff of nine in annual giving programs, major and planned gifts, corporate/foundation giving, alumni relations. The Senior Director manages numerous programming budgets; consults with both current and prospective donors regarding applicable technical and gift planning matters; directs campaign activities of the University; supervises the publication and distribution of various development and alumni relations publications. The Senior Director and EVP collaborate with the President in conducting other development and alumni relations related business, as needed.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Reporting to the EVP, the Senior Director collaborates to evaluate and implement strategies for long-term fundraising effectiveness and campaign success.
  • Hires, coaches, and evaluates development (annual giving, major gifts, corporate/foundation giving and advancement services) and alumni relations staff and sets measurable goals that facilitates individual accountability while achieving organizational goals.
  • Manage a portfolio of major gift prospects, developing and implementing cultivation and solicitation strategies for each prospective donor. S/he prepares written proposals, informational material, endowment agreements and other documents needed to secure major gifts in a team-oriented environment.
  • Collaborate effectively with various University colleges and other University departments to develop and provide key messages and communications for alumni, parents, friends or donors.
  • Utilizes fund-raising and engagement data to prepare statistical analyses and attainment reports related to fundraising and alumni engagement efforts.

Deaf Ministry Interpreters Needed

The Deaf Ministry Program provides services to Catholic Deaf Parishioners and their family members throughout the Diocese. The program has eight different parishes in which we provide services. Currently, the Deaf Ministry Program is looking for qualified interpreters to help with both religious education classes and interpreted Masses at these parishes. If you have the gift of being able to communicate with deaf people in their own language, please consider working in the Catholic Deaf Community.
