Schedule a Workshop

To schedule a workshop at your parish or location, please contact the Director of Community & Pastoral Services.

Who is my neighbor?
Christianity requires us to be brother and sister to our brothers and sisters. Often our brother and sister are those who fall outside of our comfort zone. An in depth look at “who is my neighbor?” Discussion of recognizing and relating to the widow, orphan and alien in our current society; 1-2 hours evenings as schedule allows.

Building bridges: Reaching across denominational lines
Finds the links that combine Christians of goodwill. Methods of collaboration and build upon that which Christians have in common. Participants will discuss ways to build bridges across which all God’s children may cross; 1-2 hours evenings as schedule allows.

Is it I Lord?
A presentation that will discuss issues that relate to mistreatment of God’s children on the basis of race. Not designed for cross -burners or hate groups but for those Christians who still get edgy and are uncomfortable in inter-acting with people of other ethnic groups. Seeks to answer the question “might I too have some racist attitudes?” 1-2 hours evenings as schedule allows.

The gospel of peace & justice
What does the gospel say about the pursuit of peace and justice? What responsibilities does answering the gospel call have for us? Looking at Jesus as liberator, as healer, as educator and as the radical “change agent of all time.” 1-2 hours evenings as schedule allows.
