The Annual Diocesan Catholic Youth Conference is a dynamic weekend for youth that offers a variety of exciting opportunities such as: keynote presentations from nationally known speakers, workshops to deepen faith and build life skills, a music ministry pre-conference, hands on activities, service experiences, games, dancing, karaoke, and Sunday Mass with a thousand other Catholic youth.
This annual conference is sponsored by the Diocesan Office of Youth Ministry and Catechesis and provides a time for Jr. High and High School youth to experience their faith, make new friends, have fun, and come away with a greater sense of the Church, the community and WHO THEY ARE!
Workshop Options
DCYC is packed with great workshop experiences. In 2008, workshops included topics such as "Pray always: How to really talk with God," "How to speak against injustices in your world," "Sex...We need to talk," "Dealing with Teen Suicide," and "How to say "NO" to stuff that can hurt you and feel good about it." DCYC also offers a series of workshops for adult leaders.

Dj Bill Lage creates a fun and exciting environment for everyone in attendance. Whether it is kicking off a youth rally with some fun and exciting energy while people are arriving, speaking and connecting with youth through personal stories or performing a unique, high-energy interactive concert/dance to close out any event and send everyone off wanting more. The vision of the day is to challenge all youth to make their homes, parishes and lives better. Isn't that the kind of Dj you want for your next youth rally?

Jesse Manibusan has the special gift of being able to engage and reach out to any individual -- either one on one at a confirmation retreat, or within a large group of teens at a youth rally, or with a crowd of 500,000 people at World Youth Day. Jesse calls himself a Catholic lay evangelist who uses music, comedy and stories to connect with people. Although he now resides in Grapevine, Texas with his wife Jodi and their two daughters, Jesse has lived most of his life in Alameda, California, serving as a music minister and youth minister in various parishes in the Diocese of Oakland. That diverse community was the inspiration for his popular multicultural collection Misa del Mundo, as well as the CDs Power of Peace, and Love Never Fails. The latter CD, a collaboration with Ken Canedo, contains the Unity Award-winning Rap / Hip Hop Song for 2003, “MC God.”
