The Annual Diocesan Catholic Youth Conference is a dynamic weekend for youth that offers a variety of exciting opportunities such as: keynote presentations from nationally known speakers, workshops to deepen faith and build life skills, a music ministry pre-conference, hands on activities, service experiences, games, dancing, karaoke, and Sunday Mass with a thousand other Catholic youth.

Exhibitors

Our hope in offering exhibits to our young people and adult leaders is to make available to them religious artwork and articles, books, music, and information about things that are important to young people and adult leaders which may include college information, vocation opportunities, service options, religious experiences and more.

Conference Music Ministry

Ask someone who knows about your musical ability to recommend you. Your music director, your pastor, your music teacher, your youth minister, etc.  Any of these individuals would make good choices. Recommendations should be emailed to Kevin Prevou and include your name or the person they are recommending, their relationship to you, how long they have known you, and any specifics about your musical ability.

If you are interested in being part of the DCYC 2012 Conference Choir and Band please fill out the application below and turn it in to your parish youth ministry leader before April 1, 2012. If you have any questions regarding the application, please email Kevin Prevou.

Awards

Awards are an important way to let young people and your adults leaders know that you recognize their gifts and appreciate them.

• Youth of Promise Award — for junior high youth
• Discipleship Award — for high school youth
• Light of the World Award — for adult leaders
• St. Timothy Award — diocesan award for youth
• Companions On the Journey Award — diocesan award for adult leader

The awards are decided by each parish Coordinator of Youth Ministry or Pastor designate. Parish leaders may also nominate youth and adult leaders for the diocesan awards. The awards will be given out during DCYC. There is a cost for the parish awards but not for the diocesan awards. Please include $7.00 for each award requested (after May 1st awards will be $10.00 each). Add $1.00 shipping fee for any of your teens or adults receiving awards that will not be attending DCYC. Shipped awards will be sent to the parish contact to give out to the teens/adults not attending DCYC.
