Purpose
The Basic Certificate in Youth Ministry is a formation and training program offered by the Diocese to enable entry level ministers with adolescents and/or ministers with adolescents without formal training to implement a comprehensive youth ministry program based on the national Catholic vision of youth ministry. It can also serve as a renewal of skills or continuing education for the seasoned youth leader. For an advanced course of study see the
National Certificate in Youth Ministry program offered in collaboration with the University of Dallas and the Center for Ministry Development.
Who Can Attend?
Any person involved in ministry to, with, or for youth: youth ministers, coaches, pastors, directors of religious education, parents, catechists, retreat team leaders, Catholic school teachers, and other volunteers.
