Jr. High Language Arts teacher - St. Mary’s Catholic School

St. Mary’s Catholic School in Gainesville, Texas is soliciting applications for the position of Jr. High Language Arts teacher for grades 6-8. Teaching responsibilities would include 6th grade homeroom and 6th, 7th, and 8th grade language arts and literature.

Strong preference will be given to candidates that are practicing Catholics with teaching experience, experience in Catholic education, and especially experience teaching strong and robust language arts.

Facilities Manager - St. Joseph Catholic School

St. Joseph Catholic School (Arlington, TX) seeks a full time facilities manager. Principal duties include routine building and grounds maintenance and facility project management.

Qualifications include practicing Catholic, high school diploma or equivalent, familiarity with light carpentry, lawn care, plumbing, HVAC, and school facility maintenance and care. Some familiarity with computers is required. Applicants must be able to provide reliable transportation, lift objects up to 50 lbs., climb ladders, and make small repairs using basic tools (hammer, screwdriver, etc.). Working hours will usually be in the afternoon and evening. Some weekend work may be expected.

Principal duties include planning, organizing, and directing the school’s development efforts including, but not limited to, community relationship building, student recruitment and retention, annual appeal, and institutional advancement.

Minimum qualifications include practicing Catholic, Bachelor’s degree in a related field, and demonstrated knowledge of and commitment to institutional development and advancement, especially in an educational setting. A Master’s degree and CFRE certification are preferred. Excellent written and oral communication skills are required. Working hours will generally coincide with school hours and will include some evening and weekend time frames.

Spanish Choir Director – St. John the Apostle Catholic Church

St. John the Apostle, a large culturally diverse parish in the Midcities area has an immediate opening for a Spanish Choir Director. This position is part-time and entails coordinating, developing, planning, and preparing liturgical music for Spanish masses on Sundays at 12:30 and 2:00 PM, along with Feast Days and Holy Days. Current ensembles include singers, guitarists and members who play band instruments. This position requires proficiency in reading music, conducting, teaching by piano and/or guitar, and the ability to speak and read Spanish and English. Spanish Choir Director – St. Joseph Parish

Part-time position. Available Immediately. Vibrant suburban 3,000 family parish located in Arlington in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. Duties coordinating, developing, planning, and preparing liturgical music for our Spanish language liturgy at 1:00pm on Sundays and solemnities - considering adding another liturgy within 2013. Ensemble is made up 40 members made up of vocals, guitarist and band instruments. Requires proficiency to read music, conducting, teaching by piano and/or guitar, able to chart band music if needed, and be able to speak and read Spanish and English. Deaf Ministry Interpreters Needed

The Deaf Ministry Program provides services to Catholic Deaf Parishioners and their family members throughout the Diocese. The program has eight different parishes in which we provide services. Currently, the Deaf Ministry Program is looking for qualified interpreters to help with both religious education classes and interpreted Masses at these parishes. If you have the gift of being able to communicate with deaf people in their own language, please consider working in the Catholic Deaf Community. The needs of the Deaf Community are very special and people with the skill of interpreting can make a huge difference! There is a stipend paid to the interpreter.
