The University of Dallas Ministry Conference

 

October 25 - 26, 2013

The University of Dallas Ministry Conference is held each October and is sponsored by the Catholic Diocese's of Dallas and Fort Worth. It strives to bring together Catholic faithful from the two dioceses and the surrounding area to learn, pray, and serve. The event will also feature session tracks specifically designed for teachers, Catechists, and general Catholic audiences, including talks on faith, parenting, and social justice. Sessions will be offered in English, Spanish, and Vietnamese, and the conference will also host over 100 exhibitors, a liturgical art display, and musical performances by well-known and up-and-coming Catholic artists.

 

Keynote Speaker:

His Eminence Óscar Andrés Rodríguez Maradiaga

Recently appointed chair of the eight advising cardinals to Pope Francis who will also review and revise Pastor Bonus, the Apostolic Constitution to the Roman Curia, His Eminence Óscar Andrés Rodríguez Maradiaga serves as president of Caritas Internationalis and as a member of the Congregation for Catholic Education. Elevated to cardinal in 2001 by Pope John Paul II, he is the first cardinal from Honduras. At UDMC, Cardinal Rodríguez will present the English keynote on Friday and the Spanish keynote on Saturday.
