Men's and Women's Lenten Vocation Awareness Program

Single Catholic Women 15-35
February 28 - April 3, 2012 (Each Tuesday)

This program is for Single Catholic Men and Women, ages 18-35 (15+ with parental support) who are discerning between single, married or religious life.  With the gift of the Holy Spirit, this program is designed to assist participants in answering discernment questions such as: "What is my purpose in life?" - "How do I realize my calling from God?" with a comparative look at single, married and religious life. Each evening will be held at St. Patrick Cathedral (1206 Throckmorton St., Fort Worth) from 6:00 - 9:00 p.m.  and ends with a FREE meal.  There is NO cost to attend and you do not need to RSVP.  For more information click on the printable flyer below.

Men's Monthly Discernment Group

This monthly program is for single men, 18-50 years of age, (15+ with parental support) who are discerning between a single, married or religious life. It is held on the second Monday of the month. Come and experience an evening of prayer, reflection, presentations and discussions, with a free dinner. There is no cost. For more information, please contact the Vocations Office.

Annual Spanish (VAP)

This is for single men and women 18-50 years of age (15+ with parental support) who are discerning between a single, married or religious life. The primary focus of this vocation event is directed towards Spanish-speaking individuals from the Hispanic community. For more information, please contact the Vocations Office.

Annual Holy Trinity Seminary (VAP)

This is an annual event at Holy Trinity Seminary for young men and women between the ages of 18 and 40 to gather under the sponsorship of Serra in order to inquire into priesthood and religious life with diocesan and religious vocation directors and representatives from around North Texas. The weekend includes time for meditation and prayer, sacramental confession, adoration of the Blessed Sacrament, and Mass. This prayer time is supplemented by presentations, panel discussions, question and answer sessions, one on one personal conferences with priests, sisters, and brothers. There is no cost for attendance. For more information, please contact the Vocations Office.

Visits with the Sisters of St. Mary of Namur

We welcome women between the ages of 18 and 45 who are discerning a vocation to the religious life and may be interested in meeting the Sisters of St. Mary. Anyone wishing to visit us may come to our main residence (below) in Fort Worth. We will also make arrangements for those wishing to visit for a longer time, to have weekend experiences with our sisters. Incarnate Word Sisters: Vocation Discernment Weekend

The Sisters of Incarnate Word and Blessed Sacrament host vocation discernment weekends at the Incarnate Word Convent. This is a great opportunity for single women between the ages of 18 and 50 to meet the sisters and experience life within the congregation. Sisters of the Holy Family of Nazareth: Vocation Discernment Day

The Sisters of the Holy Family of Nazareth offer a "Come and See Day" for women interested in religious life. Visit the convent for a day that includes: Mass, prayer, praise, talks, and visiting with the sisters. Retreats are scheduled throughout the year and provide the opportunity to work and pray with the monks and sisters. There is no cost but space is limited.
