| Jeff Martinez Council President |
The mission of the Council is to promote a system of Catholic schools to bring forth Christian virtues by transmitting and integrating Gospel teachings in an educative process which, within an excellent program of academics, directs the students toward a conscious choice of living a responsible Catholic life.
The Diocesan School Advisory Council members are appointed by the Bishop and serve as a consultative body to the Bishop and the Superintendent. Their duties include providing leadership and direction for all the school councils, evaluating the effectiveness of diocesan school policies, promoting and serving as advocates for the Catholic schools, reviewing plans to open, close, restructure, or consolidate Catholic school facilities, and reviewing the annual budgets for the diocesan schools.
